Everything we’ll have for the next 2 years.
As if packing to move wasn’t enough trouble, KRS was only paying to move 750lbs of stuff out to the island and was picking it up a 6 weeks before we actually move. Through much negotiation and scale standing, we were able to trim down our necessary items to what we hoped was less than our allotted weight (who knew we should have been weighing items when we registered for wedding gifts?). Finally, the movers came to pack out our stuff the week after Thanksgiving. It’s hard to believe that our life for the next few years fit into a 4 x 10 x 7 crate. With our island stuff now making its way by train and then barge to our new home, storing the rest of our things becomes the next challenge. Thankfully, Lindsey and Tara (our awesome renters and Michelle’s close friends), are going to be utilizing some of our bigger pieces while they take up residency.
Almost all of Jason’s clothes vacuumed packed. . .and about 50 pounds of them!
The small wood crate that has to fit all of our stuff. We barely made it!
